Ventoy USB does not start GParted...

I created a Ventoy USB some weeks ago to use on my ASUS NUC 13 PRO device in
order to configure the SSD drive with a GPT partition table and an EFI partition
on start of the drive.
Then I intended to go on with the Ubuntu installation/transplant described
earlier.
So I have put these iso files on the Ventoy drive:
- debian-12.8.0-amd64-netinst.iso
- debian-live-12.8.0-amd64-cinnamon.iso
- debian-live-12.8.0-amd64-mate.iso
- gparted-live-1.6.0-10-i686.iso
- ubuntu-24.04.1-live-server-amd64.iso
- ubuntu-24.04.1-live-desktop-amd64.iso
The first step I have taken is to boot the system to BIOS and set the boot order
to USB first and disable secure boot so I could then get gparted running.
I also adjusted the internal clock time to my local time.
After adjusting BIOS settings to USB first I rebooted and made it as far as to
get the Ventoy menu appear on boot and I see the ISO files I have put on the
Ventoy as menu items.
They show up in the order listed above.
But when I select Gparted it does not boot to that!
First it shows a menu as follows:
1- Boot in normal mode
2- Boot in grub2 mode
3- Boot in memdisk mode
4- File checksum
5- Return to previous menu
Tried 1-2:
No bootfile found for UEFI
Maybve the image does not support x64 UEFI
Tried 3:
Now it shows "Loading ISO file to memory" and then after a short wait again:
No bootfile found for UEFI
Maybe the image does not support x64 UEFI
Now if I wait a while it continues into booting up the top ISO on the list
(Debian)!!
BUT:
If I select one of the debian or ubuntu iso entries then it shows another menu:
1- Boot in normal mode
2- Boot in grub2 mode
3- File checksum
4- Return to previous menu
Here I do not know what option to use, but if I select the first offering on one
of the Ubuntus then I get to a new menu off the ISO I guess where I can choose
from:
*Try or install Ubuntu
Ubuntu (safe graphics)
Boot from next volume
UEFI firmware settings
At this point I don't know what to do since I really want GParted, which is the
only item that does *not* work at all...
What should I do in order to get GParted to show up?
I have an old (4 years) Ventoy USB and if I use that I can actually enter
GParted but it is an old version that does not give me the option of setting the
"BOOT flag" on the EFI partition, which I believe is needed.
So why can I not get gparted-live-1.6.0-10-i686.iso to boot and let me create
the EFI partition properly?
