Yep. Snaps are slower than apt and depend on systemd. I would rather see appimages or self contained .debs in the repo. Or some kind of installer for third party and commercial packages included by default. Critically it should work on any Linux distro which means no systemd requirement. Appimage and flatpak even support muslc.
