Canonical tried this with Ubuntu Phone for several years up to 2017 or
so, and then it wasn't working commercially so they ended up laying off
a bunch of staff.  I wouldn't hold your breath for them to put effort
into it again.

That said, I understand there are still people keeping that code alive,
so you could have a look at https://ubports.com/ and see if it does
anything for you.
