Only one monitor after recent updates

Hi,

I'm running Ubuntu 24.04.1 with Radeon RX580 graphics card and after
some updates about a week ago the system only detects one monitor even
though I have two plugged in, both using HDMI. I've tried both the
Ubuntu native video drivers as well as the AMD Radeon proprietary
drivers and neither detect both monitors.

I'm using the Gnome desktop with Xorg. I've also tried Wayland but that
made no difference.

Can anyone advise on how to debug this further or is there a fix for
this issue? I've googled this but not found anything that's relevant or
helpful.

Many thanks in advance.

Regards,
Tony,
