update:
-been looking at/for 17" laptops for ubuntu. Weird, haven't found
that many at a reasonable price that would seem to run Ubuntu. I'm not
willing to pay $1400 for a laptop..

My initial goal/criteria..
 reasonable late intel/amd (ryzen 5/7)
able to add me.. 8-32 G
 SSD +HDD
 required USB/Lan ports
 17"
 wifi

 Doesn't seem like much!

So, anyone have any suggestions on where to find these elusive unicorns!

The ubuntu/certified lists lists a lot of sub 17" laptops.

I'm thinking of simply calling the "big" laptop vendors and trying to
get their sales channels, but these guys aren't the best, with the
automation/menus/etc..

Thoughts/Comments are welcome.
