ubuntu installation on hp.net laptop

hi.

looking at getting one of the hp.net 17" laptops  with SSD/Hdd   128g/1tb
to install ubuntu on the device.

I'm doing research across the net to see if this presents issues or
problems. I have no clue as to mobo or information on the bios/components.

I was wondering if anyone has done this. or would u know any biz that has,
that I could talk to.

I assume it should work.  but...
