Ubuntu 24.04.1 Desktop - Renaming files on "Desktop" does not work

Hi,

To coin a recently minted phrase, this is a paper cut bug.

To experience it, simply create an icon on the Desktop and try to rename
it. Moving the cursor keys causes the dialogue box to disappear.

WORKAROUNDS:
1. You can go into a file manager (e.g. Nautilus) and do the rename there.
2. Use the mv command in a terminal window.
