Thanks, Ralf. Following your reply and Liam's on color correction I
searched the Mint forums for some mention of "gamma" and found this
downloadable brightness and gamma applet:
https://cinnamon-spices.linuxmint.com/applets/view/286
So I downloaded the applet and placed it into the applets folder as
instructed. But then I cannot find instructions on how to use the
applet to achieve it's named functions. I only see a warning that the
applet may cause a crash. :o(
I'm nowhere near experienced enough to know if this is something I
should try or leave well enough alone. If I read Ralf's reply correctly
then I'm chasing my tail trying to get Firefox images to improve (at
least with Mint 21.3?).
Or if I misinterpreted Ralf's post I apologize
Ubuntu Linux gurus: Is this applet worth trying in Mint?
(Assuming instructions are available somewhere on its use.)
Many thanks.
Gil
