I think Apt should tolerate the same line twice. If you can confirm
the issue, then it might be a good idea to file a bug.

`apt-cache show apt` will give you Apt version info. Then file a
report with a duplicator at
<https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+filebug/?no-redirect>. For the
duplicator, just `cat` your sources.list.
