Hi Wade,
my problem is not the path, it's folder contents.
In the phone, I see a "Voice Recorder" folder, and inside it I see all
my audio recordings. When I attach the phone to my Ubuntu PC and go
into the phone with Ubuntu's file manager, I ALSO see the "Voice
Recorder" folder, but when I double click on it to see its content,
Ubuntu shows it's empty. Same for all other phone folders, in the same
session of the same file manager, except DCIM/Camera, where I can find
all the pictures I took with the phone and copy them.
This happens when I tell the phone to work in "Image transfer"
mode. If I put it in file transfer mode, Ubuntu cannot open the phone
at all. It says
Unable to open a folder for SAMSUNG Android
The name :1.120 was not provided by any .service files
In other words, the phone image transfer mode only makes accessible the
folder where the phone stores photographs, but the phone file transfer
mode is not recognized/usable by Ubuntu.
What next?
Marco
