I don't think Firefox is a flatpak on Mint, at least on my Mint system
is is not. You can list your flatpaks in the terminal by doing
flatpak list.
I think Mint builds it's own .debs, an article I read mentions now Mint
will be able to save some time by not having to build its own .debs.
