What keyboard are you using? If it's a USB keyboard, that's not just
weird, but *extremely* weird that it wouldn't work. If it's PS/2, same
thing. If it's a Bluetooth keyboard though, that might be a potential
culprit. Also, what computer is this? A long time ago I had an MS
Surface laptop where the keyboard was totally non-functional with a
Kubuntu 14.04 derivative (this was a *while* ago).
