In fact, I don't like to watch a 30 minute video to get the information
that a well-written user manual provides in 30 seconds.
On the other hand, I like to listen to a few notes to fade out and a few
very short played notes of the latest, revolutionary, innovative grand
pianos for the iPad in comparison. The problem with YouTube is that you
have to search for hours and hours or get very lucky to find such a
comparison. I bought a grand piano audio unit in November and my browser
offers a history back to December, quite obviously older history entries
were automatically deleted against my will. However, there is some
excellent material on this topic on YouTube, but unfortunately it's hard
to find and I haven't bookmarked it.
If you search for such comparisons, you get links to "top sellers" like
"The Sound Test Room", but you can forget about these videos by
successful YouTubers as they were made for a rather superficial audience
and they have no idea what matters.
In other words, YouTube provides information that you can't convey with
text. The downside is that it's very difficult to find this information.
I just searched for this excellent video that I saw in November, but I
couldn't find it again, instead I got countless links to YouTubers like
"The Sound Test Room" that don't provide useful comparisons.
At least now I know I still haven't found a decent browser for the iPad.
My top browsers for the iPad are Firefox, which isn't even half as
useful as the desktop version as it doesn't let you watch YouTube videos
without wasting time with countless adverts, for example, and Perfect
Web, which is useful for watching YouTube without being forced to watch
adverts, but as I now know it doesn't seem to offer a solid history.
