problem with initramfs-tools

One of the other distro’s I use, is Opensuse.
Their enterprise version (sled) and common public version (leap) only support 64-but.

But their rolling release, tumbleweed, is still build for tiny 32bit machines.
You might give it a try.

I'd be interested in hearing about your experiences with frugal Linuxes. A friend quite likes Tiny Core Linux ( http://forum.tinycorelinux.net/index.php ) which is text only but a GUI can be added to it, I believe. There is a book available and its PDF can be downloaded from http://tinycorelinux.net/book.html
