I second this advice.

Better still: once you format the key with Ventoy, you can put _both_
Kubuntu 24.04 _and_ Kubuntu 24.10 ISO files on it, which will make
testing easier.

Additionally: what is the make and model of the computer and what
BIOS/firmware version is it running?
