Hi,
fsck probably won't repair anything. If so, I guess you can only try to
format the entire USB stick. Maybe the USB stick is borked. Even very
expensive, brand-new USB sticks from brand manufacturers are, as far as
I know, of inferior quality and tend to break down from one moment to
the next.
