I am using NVIDIA-SMI 340.108 Driver Version: 340.108 on GeForce 8400M GS
After searching I found this:
https://github.com/dkosmari/nvidia-340.108-updated
"This repository provides scripts and patches for building the NVIDIA
340.108 drivers for recent Linux (6.0+) kernel."
It seems there are community patches, but the driver is closed source,
they are patching the kernel modules to make it compatible.
