Latest update: The nvidia driver in the 6.8.0.40 kernel version of Jammy updated is linux-objects-nvidia-470-6.8.0-40-generic. I haven't tried th extreme method of eliminating the driver from that boot yet, but I need some time later to do so. Will keep posting as I find what happens.... Thanks all. Mark
