Mate files in Unity update?

Hi all

I've had 23.10 Unity (upgrade from 23.04) for a (short) while and updates were 
a trickle over the last few days it's a flood, at least 40-50 "new" installs 
3-4 times each day, the last included a lot of Mate files like

libmateweather1

mate-menus

mate-settings-daemon-common
mate-user-guide
ubuntu-mate-default-settings

should these be in a Unity update??

I thought 23.10 was a bare install, letting users pick their own apps from 
repos
