Hi,

yes, you can share

/yourstuff/Pictures_and_similar

but don't share

/yourstuff/apps

since configurations and even data sometimes is converted to another
format when you run an updated app for the fist time and often it is not
backwards compatible and there is no way to convert it back to the old
format.

You can either bind mount shared directories or simply use symbolic
links. I recommend to use symbolic links and in the future a separated
partition for shared stuff.

You might need to create a group for shared stuff. My users usually
share UID 1000, so even with different user names, if they share the UID
there's no need to do anything with the privileges.

Btw. "duel boot" is a nice (probably) Freudian slip :D.

Regards,
Ralf
