22.04 and displaylink

I have kernel 6.2.0-25 and 22.04 running.
I got a new 16" lcd and was wanting to connect it with USB-C and
displaylink.

I got the LCD- connected it nothing.
started searching - found I had to do a separate displaylink

I did this - and still nothing on the USB-C

Anyone have a USB-C display running ? Any thoughts ?
