Question about .bashrc

Hello.

I am wondering whether it is possible to set .bashrc to display, at
terminal prompts, the date and time in ISO format, rather than in the
USA format, and, if so, what setting(s) to apply.

For example, on this computer, the settings that I have for .bashrc
(which I have copied, to my other computers, and, now store on my Ventoy
drive, for portability), show the terminal prompt (standard user) as
Sat Sep 09 16:18:57 bret at bret-Precision-Tower-5810:~$
with the MM DD being the USA date format and not my local date format.

I have so far been unable to achieve getting the prompt to display my
local date format, as
DDD DD MM
(with the triple 'D' representing the abbreviated weekday name, and the
double 'D' representing the monthday number)
and, if I can accomplish it, I believe that I would prefer to have the
ISO date format displayed;
DDD YYYY-MM-DD (with the YYYY-MM-DD being in numeric characters)
with the time either left as it is
(HH:MM:SS (24 hour format for the hours) )
or
HHMM:SS
(which I believe to be more the 24 hour format).

Thank you in anticipation.
