This is why I stick with the ??20 generation: X220, T420, W520. I 
dislike the newer keyboards and they are still more than fast enough for 
my needs. I fit SSDs to them all and max out the RAM.

Don't do that.

You can tell X.org the screen DPI, which keeps the resolution the same, 
which means everything stays crisp, but makes on-screen text larger and 
sharper.
