silly overview in 23.10

I normally use 20.04, Was looking at 23.10,
What is this SILLY start in OVERVIEW - mode. terrible idea.

Then - ADD to that how - "DIFFICULT" it is to not start in overview mode.
What is happening?? Why have they done this - it should be a "simple" tweak
to change the default and not start in this overview mode.

I still have not found a way to disable this "overview" mode from the
"command line".

Goodness - is there something easy I am missing?
