Can we please go back to observing the consideration of EDITING
replies so they don't contain every scrap of previously posted
information?

Leaving everything in makes posts harder to read, follow or answer.

This is (or was) the convention in this list.

Note that I deliberately left it all in this time to illustrate my point.
