I see, and nothing to do with preempt-rt versions. But I was also 
derailed by the wifi, which for my installs are disabled as that's the 
only way I could stop the neighbors hell phone from watching 80+ gigs of 
porn or whatever because the default mode was to bridge, allowing his 
hell to use my bandwidth. He was coming in thru the wifi in the pi!  I'm 
all wired. so I turned off all the radios. I've recently expanded the 
number of machines here, as I'm building a 3d printer farm. but the wifi 
modules are all in a box.
