Has gnumeric been abandoned by Ubuntu Linux

Okay; running
apt search gnumeric
I get pretty much the same response.

If you do not already have gnumeric installed on your workstation, and, 
if you have synaptic installed, what do you get, if you search for 
gnumeric, within synaptic?
