net problem on arm jammy

Greetings all;

trying to configure the network on a bpi5.  Static connection. hosts 
file, no dhcp on premises.  Where in /etc is that info hidden this week 
so I can edit the ipv4 only stuff into what file with the sd card in a 
reader?
