Migrate Outlook into Thunderbird?

Ugh! I have disliked Outlook since the late 1990s, but I have deployed
it and done some migrations.

I do not use Windows and I don't know what it can do on Windows today.
There may be better ways.

(E.g. maybe T'bird on Windows can directly import from Outlook? I have
no idea! AFAIK nothing else can read .PST files.)

Here is what *I* would do.

1. Set up a big IMAP account somewhere.
2. Connect Outlook to the IMAP server.
3. Copy all your mail into that IMAP account.
4. Connect T'bird to the IMAP account. Make sure all your mail is there.

I see you're  posting from Gmail.  Gmail is an IMAP server. If you
have only a free Gmail account, you have ~17GB. That may be enough.

I have a paid Google One account. I get 100GB. All my mail is in there.

If you don't have or want a paid account, run a local IMAP server. I
know you run your own servers already for other things.
