Remove the Cinnamon gear.

Then, install or reinstall the following components:

   * sddm
   * kde-plasma-desktop
   * kde-style-breeze

If the packages are already installed, then perform a reinstall:

    sudo apt-get install --reinstall sddm \
      kde-plasma-desktop \
      kde-style-breeze
