I don't know. Never tried and wouldn't know how. I generally can't
tell mono from stereo except through headphones, and I listen to radio
all day through my old "executive ultralight" type laptop's built in
speakers. (I can't find the time to fix my Raspberry Pi home-made
internet radio.)
But Pipewire is coming and it's a lot less resource-hungry than
PulseAudio. PA made most people's basic audio problems just go away,
but I know the music types used JACK. Allegedly, Pipewire gives you
the best of both worlds. We will see.
