Ubuntu installers?

Okay. This goes no no one in particular because these observations are
general, and I'm not someone to get involved in problems that involve the
cooperation of people; I just like being in my own code-cutting universe -
perhaps what I do might someday find a use in what you do. I write this
letter as a close, but whether or not it is my final letter of this thread
will depend on the type of response it may get.
I understand that the problems I talk of (too many ways of installing
software is hampering usability of Ubuntu) occupy the minds of those people
on this mail list that may have a stake in doing something about it. I am
not one of them. The contributions of others have led me to the conclusion
that attempts are indeed being made to do something about this problem, and
hence, maybe I should be one to exercise patience, because perhaps things
will improve over time.
I understand that developers appear to be encouraged to adopt one, or, as a
medium-term goal, several solutions - these being Snap and APT and perhaps
one or more others with the hope that users generally will coalesce around
Snap as the universal format. Being that managing software installations in
Ubuntu is a frustration that is wearing me down, perhaps this picture is
one drawn more from wishful thinking than from a synthesis of a true
perspective on the problem.
May all your software installations coalesce around a single solution in
2023, and thanks for helping me know a little about what is going on.
