purge-old-kernels deprecated

Hi Everyone,

I'm trying to remove old kernels with:

   sudo purge-old-kernels --keep 1

It is failing with:

    E: Command line option --keep is not understood
    in combination with the other options

>From the man page:

       This utility is now deprecated.  The functionality it used to provide
       should be integrated into apt(8).

The Apt(8) man page does not say how to remove old kernels in a manner
like purge-old-kernels.

How does one use Apt(8) to remove old kernels with a --keep argument?
