In the future, if you're doing something that can't just pick up if it
gets interrupted, you might try combining SSH with a terminal
multiplexer. Lots of people use Screen, I personally am a Tmux user.
Memorize a few keyboard shortcuts and it gets easy. Also makes it
convenient when you have to run a bunch of terminals all at once on the
remote side.
