22.04 hide activities

for 20.04 I was able to do this:
dbus-send --print-reply --session --type=method_call --dest=org.gnome.Shell
/org/gnome/Shell org.gnome.Shell.Eval string:'Main.panel.actor.hide();

It does not seem to work in 22.04 - all I get back is this:

method return time=1701895737.438447 sender=:1.29 -> destination=:1.68
serial=302 reply_serial=2
   boolean false
   string ""

How do I hide the activities bar in 22.04 ?
