Hi Bob,

if I try to add an alias by typing foo at bar.buntuland and finishing by
clicking OK it doesn't work. After typing foo at bar.buntuland I need to
push the Return or Enter key before I click OK. My version of Evolution
on Arch Linux is 3.50.2. Without doubts I added my alias way before the
release of 3.50.0. That my user interface does look different depends on
the used theme and a few special settings related to the look.

I suspect that you only need to push Enter and it will work for you,
too.

If not, consider to send a request to the Evolution user mailing list.

Evolution might be the only app that belongs to the GNOMRE project, that
still has got a _real_ mailing list. It's
https://lists.osuosl.org/mailman/listinfo/evolution-users .

When GNOME shut down all mailing lists and migrated to the
https://discourse.gnome.org/ gamification crap, that despite all claims
does not feature a _real_ mailing list, the Evolution developers and
users migrated the official Evolution mailing list to osuosl.org.

It doesn't make sense for mailing client users to struggle with a new
email-hostile world. The reason for using an email client is to stay
with reasonable communication.

The mc mailing list, that was also hosted by gnome.org, migrated there,
too, osuosl.org just isn't part of the domain's name they are using and
of course, MC never was a GNOME project at all.

Regards,
Ralf
