Jitsi has come a long way since 2014.
I use it on a low-bandwidth link (16Mb/s down for screen-sharing
session, and the other person's screen was very clear. Sharing my own
screen is not so nice at 400Kb/s, but it's no better with Zoom, Meet or
Teams.
For ordinary video and audio conferencing Jitsi works really well. Have
not tried to record a session. I've been using the browser version in
Firefox.
I especially like how simple it is to start and share a meeting.
