With 2x 2TB drives, your NAS will provide 4TB of storage but no
redundancy. You still get the advantages of a NAS - always on,
networked etc, just no redundancy. Which is fine, plenty of people
don't :-)

If you want to have redundancy and still have 4TB of storage, you will
need to use 2x 4TB drives plus RAID1. Or Synology's SHR.

And remember that you will need to back up the NAS itself, or at least
anything critical you have stored there.
