ask me again when some website trojan managed to abuse one of the
various undisclosed mozjs security bugs to encrypt your disk and you
dont know where to get the bitcoin to to send to the ransomware
developers to recover your data :)

this is indeed plain prevention to not end up in similar situations
your windows user friends end up in ... just like you do not leave your
door open and unlocked when expecting an amazon delivery while not at
home but instead agree on a drop-off place with the delivery person ...

browsers are simply one of the biggest security threats to your system
that exist, security policies do at least add some security here ...

yeah, sorry, that should have been /usr/local/share/doc (for any
documentation third party SW would install in html form) 

note that the majority of users will simply not abuse a browser as a
file manager but simply use the software for its purpose and just
browse the web with it ...
