well, beyond what keith already suggested, there is always the
sledgehammer to install any snap with the --devmode option, which drops
confinement into "complain mode" (apparmor will write a log entry for a
location you would normally not be allowed to access, but will not
block you from doing so) ... this indeed drops sandboxing security (and
degrades some snap features like auto-updates) but would make sure you
can randomly access any file on the system...
