No, I have *heard* on another list (JMRI Users) that the snap version could
not/would not open JMRI's help files and that the "cure" was to get a non-snap
version of FF or another browser. I am a software developer and create (via
Doxygen) HTML help files that I sometimes need/want to check. Also I *don't*
use a HTML E-Mail client and sometime people send me HTML E-Mail, so I need to
save the message and then open it with FF.
Also: the snap version would not open my local style settings, didn't open my
existing FF preferences/plugins/bookmarks (it insisted I create a new profile
and then kept asking which profile to use everytime). Also, it was coming up
with this "no window manager" type of screen ("override redirect" -- eg not
letting my window manager manage its windows and insisting on managing its
windows itself). I don't have anything against snaps per se, just the specific
snap version of FF, which seems to do things in a way that is unfriendly *to
me*.
