That is a good idea!

I just did it with the on-screen keyboard. Slow, but once I got used
to using it, I got much faster. :-)

That evening, when my Internet connection came back online, I
reinstalled the xserver-xorg-input-all package, which pulled in a few
others. Rebooted and all was well again. :-)
