PackageKit trouble, blocked updates

Suddenly it worked, after I rebooted this morning. That "prepared-update"
file was there. And I didn't get an error message in Gnome-Software. I've
installed those upgrades and it went smoothly. 

And you're saying that "phased updates" is the culprit? Then there should be
a comprehensible error message. I'll file a bug report, it I got you right.
