The kept back issue is likely due to package release phasing (where
packages are released over a period in the hope of identifying
regressions earlier.  You can check that by running
apt policy gjs
and see if it says that it is being phased.  The same for the other
one.  If it is that then it will get upgraded eventually.
Either way this is probably nothing to do with your problem.
