I don't have access to R's system at the moment. This is what that
command's output looks like on my Ubuntu 22.04.1 based system:
sudo journalctl -u snapd.service -b
Sep 01 11:13:53 turing systemd[1]: Starting Snap Daemon...
Sep 01 11:13:53 turing snapd[869]: AppArmor status: apparmor is enabled and
all features are available
Sep 01 11:13:53 turing snapd[869]: overlord.go:263: Acquiring state lock
file
Sep 01 11:13:53 turing snapd[869]: overlord.go:268: Acquired state lock file
Sep 01 11:13:53 turing snapd[869]: daemon.go:247: started
snapd/2.56.2+22.04ubuntu1 (series 16; classic) ubuntu/22.04 (amd64)
linux/5.15.0-46-generic.
Sep 01 11:13:53 turing snapd[869]: daemon.go:340: adjusting startup timeout

Sep 01 11:13:53 turing systemd[1]: Started Snap Daemon.
Sep 01 11:14:27 turing snapd[869]: storehelpers.go:722: cannot refresh:
snap has no updates available: "bare", "bashtop", "chromium", "core18",
"core20", "firefox", "gno>
lines 1-8/8 (END)

Does that help?

BW,

Ian
