PART TWO of: creation of ext4 filesystem takes 20+ hours???

thanks Ralf, but then... (asking to the whole list, not just you of course):

I will try to ignore that warning and go ahead with the installation,
but just to save time... what if I do end up with a failed install?
How to make it work? Anything else I should know/try/ configure
differently, rather than just jumping blindly into another "brute
force" attempt?

(yes, I know I can only have a definite answer by trying, but that is
the real problem: trying takes time, and I'd really need to have that
laptop up and running not later than next Monday, I can't really
afford spending another full day on it,...)
