How do I get a realtek wifi dongle to work

The 5GHz wifi may be okay for people in the USA and Europe, who have 
GB/s download speeds in accessing the Internet, but, here in Australia, 
we plebs have download speeds less than 100Mb/s, so the 2.5MHz wifi 
speed is quite adequate (I believe it provides data transmission speeds 
of up to 300MB/s or 300Mb/s (I am not sure which), both of which, are 
way out of range of what we get in Australia).
