Hi,

a German Wiki assumes that the Ubuntu flavour install can access the
Internet without wifi :D,
https://wiki.ubuntuusers.de/WLAN/Broadcom_bcm43xx/ .

However, a PPA is mentioned, 10 years old, no signed checksums, no
checksums at all:

https://launchpad.net/~poliva/+archive/ubuntu/pof/+packages

Google found a new PPA, still no signed checksums, no checksums at all:

https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/bcmwl

And finally an English Wiki, seemingly assuming that the Ubuntu flavour
install can access the Internet without wifi, too:

https://help.ubuntu.com/community/WifiDocs/Driver/bcm43xx

It provides this download link:

https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/broadcom-sta

Signed or not signed checksums are out of style.

You probably need to download the package/s with Windows 7, without the
possibility to check against a signed checksum.

Regards,
Ralf
