Oh yes, I know, and I had already done this and I have both systems installed.

However, since the app under discussion is already available in Mint's
bundled cross-platform app format, it is easier to just use that.

I tried Slack under both Flatpak and Snap installs on Mint 20.3. The
Snap version froze the machine hard -- as in, no mouse movement, no
way to switch consoles or reboot; hold-down-the-power-button time --
when I tried to attach a screenshot.

I haven't seen a crash like that since the 1990s! And it was repeatable.

So I emailed the file instead, and went back to a Flatpak of Slack.
