Steam for Ubuntu 22.04

Hi, List.

I have a brand new Ubuntu Jammy Jellyfish and i use the Steam game
system.

i have these repositories setting on:

https://repo.steampowered.com/steam stable
https://repo.steampowered.com/steam beta


My questions are,

Must i keep both?, only the stable is needed?, or only the beta if i
prefer test things?.
One last question, is steam beta = Proton?.
